Howard Shore met with fans

About a walk around the Market Square, yesterday’s trip to Alvernia Studios, about how Krakow is beautiful and that he’ll surely be back, and about beginning work on music to the film The Hobbit – Howard Shore spoke with fans during a meeting at Bunkier Cafe. He also advised young composers to first take control of technique, and later find a friend: operator or director, who will support them in their work. - “For me, David Cronenberg was such a person”, says Shore.
He also said that he writes music with a mechanical pencil (he doesn't create on the computer) and admitted that this is the cheapest element in working on music. - “Howard, be honest: do you listen to your own music just for pleasure?", asked one of the fans. - “I work a lot and often correct something that I have already created. Sometimes I happen to hear something beautiful in this music, but these are truly passing moments", replied Shore and got a huge applause.
