Bartosz Chajdecki is a composer of theatre, television and film music. Over the last decade he has created music for dozens of theatrical performances in Poland and abroad as well as composed for feature films, documentaries and television series.

He graduated from Academy of Music in Krakow with honours, presenting the work about the autonomy of film music. Since his earliest years he has been involved in music– he began composing at the age of 12, having been inspired and motivated by Zbigniew Preisner whose numerous advices and remarks enabled him to master the basics of composition.

At the turn of the century Bartosz Chajdecki worked as a composer and music consultant with prestigious cultural institutions, which include: Samuel Beckett Theatre (London, UK), Yale School of Drama (New Haven, USA), Brazilian SESC, New York School of Visual Arts (New York, USA).

After one of the concerts in London during which he performed his piece Destination Unknown, EAJC (European Association for Jewish Culture) became interested in Bartosz Chajdecki and in 2004 it decided to grant him a scholarship for further development of his work. A turning point in his career was the composition of the music for the show Days of Honour (Czas honoru), which in 2011 gave him nomination in the category Television by the ISMCA (International Film Music Critics Association) in Los Angeles. He’s written music to the Polish films such as Gods (Bogowie), Life Feels Good (Chce się żyć) and Warsaw Uprising (Powstanie Warszawskie).
