Graduate of the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and the Faculty of Jazz of the Frederic Chopin State Secondary Music School in Warsaw. In 2002, he won an individual prize at the Jazz Juniors Festival in Krakow, and, in 2005, together with his band he won the first prize for the Best Jazz Band in the Hopes of Warsaw competition. He worked with artists such as Gaba Kulka, Rykarda Parasol, Mela Koteluk, Aram Shelton, Olivia Anna Livki, Uri Caine, Mikołaj Trzaska, Marián Friedl, Konrad Kucz, Per-Åke Holmlander, Jim Baker, Leski, Marcin Łosik Trio, Olaf Deriglasoff, Paweł Domagała, Artur Andrus and Wacław Zimpel. The artist has participated in numerous festivals, including Nordischer Klang, Jazz Brugge, Migration Music Festival, Bielska Zadymka Jazzowa and Jazz Juniors. He has recorded several dozen studio albums. He works with film music composer Bartosz Chajdecki, with whom he recorded music for Gods, Double Ironman, I’m a Killer, Warsaw Uprising. Perkusista magazine included him in the list of 100 most important Polish drummers. He earned a gold record for Hat, Rabbit (2009) recorded with Gaba Kulka, as well as gold and platinum records for Spadochron (2012) and gold and platinum records for the album Migracje (2014) with Mela Koteluk.
