The artist composed the score for a documentary film Antrophocene: The Human Epoch, as well as electronic and instrumental music for revelatory multimedia projects, and for concert performers. One of her major works is Song of Extinction, presented during Toronto’s Luminato Festival and created in collaboration with filmmaker Marc de Guerre and Griffin Poetry Prize-winning poet Don McKay. Other recent Bolton’s works include a piece for the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony or a sound and video installation for festival Nuit Blanche. Her music has been performed across Canada by leading ensembles: Vancouver Symphony, Esprit Orchestra, Aradia Ensemble and Ensemble Paramirabo.
