Mateusz Kołakowski
Graduated from the classical piano class at the Academy of Music in Katowice. Laureate of many awards, including the Ignacy Jan Paderewski National Piano Competition, as well as the 30th International Piano Competition. He regularly gives concerts in the United States, to date he has performed in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, among other cities.

In 2000, he recorded Trilogy together with Brad Terry. Laureate of the Berklee College of Music scholarship, as well as the Most Promising Performer award of the Jazz Piano Competition in Paris. Participant of the Jazz Festival in Montreux (Switzerland), as well as the Prague International Jazz Piano Festival – the recording from the latter event was released as an album. Another one of Kołakowski’s albums was Ad Libitum: 1st Warsaw Jazz Concert, a recording of a concert at the Witold Lutosławski Studio, featuring a guest performance of saxophonist Peter van Bergen. In 2008, he performed with David Liebman in New York, and the recording of the concert – the album Live at Jazz Standard – was distinguished with a Cultural Guarantee Prize awarded by TVP Kultura.
