Justyna Steczkowska
For a number of years of her artistic activity she has proved to be a versatile and uncommon artist - singer, violinist, composer (including film and television music), songwriter, film and theater actress, dancer and photographer.
Justyna Steczkowska was born in 1972 in a family of musicians. For a number of years of her artistic activity she has proved to be a versatile and uncommon artist - singer, violinist, composer (including film and television music), songwriter, film and theater actress, dancer and photographer.

The turning point in her career was gaining the 1st prize in the first edition of Szansa na Sukces with brilliantly performed song Boskie Buenos Aires from the repertoire of Maanam. Her debut album Dziewczyna Szamana was released in 1996 and was sold in over 350 000 copies, gaining the title of Platinum Disc and providing Justyna with five Fryderyk statues in the following categories: Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year (Dziewczyna Szamana), Song of the Year (Oko za oko), Phonographic Debut of the Year and Music Video of the Year (Oko za oko). The title track from this album became a hit of the year, hitting the top lists of the Muzyczna Jedynka and Radiowa Trójka, where for many weeks it was an undisputed number one.

Among her successes there are multiple performances at the Opole Festival, Sopot Festival, Łódź of Four Cultures Festival, The Stage Song Contest in Wrocław, Woodstock Festival Poland and many performances abroad, such as the 40th Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin in 1995 or Decouverte Est in 1997 in France. She participated in concerts dedicated to John Paul II organized on the occasion of his birthday, Papal Days or other events commemorating the Pope. She took part in concerts organized on the occasion of Poland’s entry into the European Union, among others in the Grand Theatre in Warsaw and on the Main Square of the Grand-Place in Brussels.

Justyna Steczkowska in 2009, as the first Polish artist, performed in a concert promoting her new album, which was broadcasted live on the Internet. In the same year she was awarded the Diamond Microphone - Management Board of the Polish Radio Award for outstanding radio artists.

When writing about Justyna it should also be mentioned how many concerts and charity events she participated in, including, among others: The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity (annually), Artyści Pokonują Fale, Powodzianie Powodzianom, Solidarni z Polakami na Białorusi, Wszyscy Razemand Nadzieja to my – a concert for the victims of the whirlwind and the catastrophy near Grenoble.
