He has been working with Disney music since 1981 when he helped prepare FANTASIA sheet music for a digital recording to replace the soundtrack.
Since then he developed and approved printed music for choirs, bands, and sheet music for film scores and songs such as The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, Lion King, Cars and Pixar’s UP. Jon was instrumental in forming the Disney Concert Library in 1992. Disney authorized arrangements and complete concerts have been performed by all major symphonies including the US National Symphony, Tokyo Philharmonic, Atlanta Symphony, Munich Symphony, London Symphony and many others. There is currently a Disney concert scheduled on every continent in the world. A recently produced concert based on the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise is the screening of the entire film with soundtrack performed in real time with symphony orchestra.
