Hubert Zapiór
Baritone, opera singer and actor born in Brzesko. Student Artist Diploma in Opera Studies in the class of Professor Edith Wiens at the Juilliard School in New York. Graduate of the Faculty of Singing and Acting at the Frederic Chopin University of Music and the Faculty of Acting at the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.
He took part in the Polish premieres of Handel’ Agrippina as Lesbo and Sciarrino’s Luci mie traditrici as Servo. In 2013–2016 he performed on the stage of the Warsaw Chamber Opera, among others in W.A. Mozart’s Don Giovanni (in the title role) and Le Nozze di Figaro as the Count, as well as in Rossini’s Il turco in Italia as Prosdocimo. In the 2017/2018 season, he made his debut at the National Opera as Papageno in The Magic Flute directed by Barrie Kosky, as well as at Juilliard Opera as Herr Fluth in Otto Nicolai’s Merry Wives of Windsor directed by John Giampieretro and as Neptune in J.P. Rameau’s Hippolyte et Aricie directed by Stephen Wadsworth.
