Damian Aleksander
Theatre, TV and voice actor, director and lecturer. He graduated with honours from the Faculty of Singing and Acting of the Academy of Music in Poznań. Graduate of the Danuta Baduszkowa National Vocal and Acting Study at the Musical Theatre in Gdynia. Finalist of the 19th Stage Song Review in Wrocław in 1998.
Since 2000, he has been associated with the Roma Musical Theatre in Warsaw, where he starred in such musical hits as Miss Saigon, Grease, Five Guys Named Moe, Cats, Les Misérables and The Phantom of the Opera, receiving triple Platinum Record Award for the role of Eric in the latter musical. The artist cooperates with a number of institutions, including the Musical Theatre in Poznań (Jekyll & Hyde, Nine) and the Musical Theatre in Gliwice (The Addams Family). As an artist, he took part in almost 100 musical concerts under the baton of Sławomir Chrzanowski, the director of Zabrze Philharmonic. Moreover, for two seasons he worked alongside Magdalena Miśka-Jackowska on Z musicalem pod rękę, an RMF Classic radio broadcast. Since 2012, he has been working with the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic, where he plays the role of Janusz Korczak in Chris Williams’ Korczak. He also appeared in the roles of the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera and Lazar Wolf in Jerry Bock’s The Fiddler on the Roof. In the 2016/2017 season, he directed two productions: the New Year's Eve Gala organized by the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic and the Christmas Carol Concert at the Michael Archangel’s Cathedral in Łomża. He initiated and produced the Tribute to Musical music show. He plays the role of the lawyer Komarovsky in Doctor Zhivago, the latest production of the Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic.
