Bartosch McCarthy

Bartosch McCarthy has been working as a composer since 2011, contributing music to various visual and non-visual media. His work began receiving international recognition in 2015 / 16, when he placed 2nd in four international composition competitions: Oticons Faculty ‘15, Transatlantyk ‘15, FilmTonArt ’15, and FMF Kraków ‘16.
He was also selected to be one of five participants in the film music orchestration masterclass “Das Orchester” at the “Filmmusiktage Sachsen-Anhalt 2015” in Germany.
Bartosch has a degree in music from the University of Music, Drama, and Media in Hannover, Germany. He majored in jazz piano which is one of many influences in his melody-driven writing style. He has been continuously expanding his knowledge and set of skills through masterclasses and workshops with esteemed composers and orchestrators throughout Europe, among them Elliot Goldenthal, Stephen Warbeck, and Gary Yershon, to name a few.
