Kaczmarek will present the Academy Award-winning music from Finding Neverland.

Maciej Zieliński, nominated for the 2017 Eagles Polish Film Award for Best Soundtrack will present the premiere performance of a suite from Humble Servants (dir. Mariusz Gawryś), composed specially for the FMF. The crime film hit Polish cinemas in fall of 2016. Superintendent Warski (the outstanding Bartłomiej Topa) investigates the case of a young German girl, member of a Gregorian choir, who jumped to her death from the church tower in Wrocław. Julia Kijowska was featured in the role of police officer Ana Wittesch.

Maciej Zieliński graduated from the Faculty of Composition at the F. Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw and the Royal Academy of Music in London. He currently works as a composer of music for film (Nigdy w życiu, A Very Christmas Story, Germans, Street Games) and theatre (Zatrute pióro, Warszawianka); however, the artist does not shy away from classical music as well. His compositions were performed at many festivals in Poland and abroad (in Germany, Italy, Denmark, Romania, the United Kingdom and the USA). What is more, he was also a laureate of numerous composing competitions, including two international contests in Germany and Czech Republic. His piece Lutosławski in memoriam was selected by the Associated Board of Royal Schools of Music to become a part of the examination programme in British schools until 2006. A recording of his First String Quartet performed by the all-female DAFO quartet received a Fryderyk Award in 2003.

On the 20th of May, the audience of the Festival gathered at TAURON Arena Kraków will also hear the music to one of the most famous crime TV series of the last year, The Teacher, starring Maciej Stuhr. Atanas Valkov – Polish composer with Bulgarian roots is currently composing a special suite for the FMF, combining musical motifs from the series. The identity of the murderer of Asia Walewska intrigued the audience of Canal+ from the very first episode. Endless discussions went on at many pages and boards, countless theories were crafted... The Teacher won the 2017 Empik Bestsellers Award for Phenomenon of the Year.

Atanas Valkov is not only a composer, but also a multi-instrumentalist and music producer, laureate of the first prize of the 7th Berlinale Score Competition, also nominated for the European Talent Award in Cologne. He composed music for short films by Tomasz Bagiński (Polish Legends), Andrzej Wajda (Zwięzła kronika czasu) and Jan P. Matuszyński (Deep Love, The Last Family). In collaboration with European Space Agency (ESA) he produced Ambition, an album commemorating the Rosetta mission and the historic landing on the 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko comet. The artist also created the Transoriental project, and was responsible for producing Kayah’s platinum album Transoriental Orchestra. Throughout his career, he produced countless albums, singles, remixes, soundtracks and advertising campaigns. In his music, he boldly combines electronica and classical music, moving freely between various musical genres. Among the latest productions featuring his music were TVP’s Bodo, The Teacher (Canal+) and Polish Legends – a series of short science fiction films, created by Tomasz Bagiński.
